Why are AI-generated images not accepted?
eÇift is based on members getting to know each other as they truly are. Your profile photo forms the foundation of the first impression and sense of trust on the other side.
Therefore, images created with AI or edited using AI tools are not accepted on our platform.
Why are these images not accepted?
- Does not reflect reality: AI-generated or AI-edited images may show a person's appearance differently from how they actually look. This negatively affects the process of getting to know someone based on mutual trust.
- Undermines trust: Our members want to feel confident that the person they are connecting with is genuine. Artificial images weaken this sense of trust.
- Creates a security risk: Non-genuine images increase the risk of fake profiles and misuse. eÇift places member safety above all else.
- Can lead to disappointment: A significant difference between someone's actual appearance and their profile photo can result in a negative experience for both parties.
Which images are not accepted?
- Images created entirely using AI tools (e.g. AI-generated portraits)
- AI modifications that alter facial features, body shape, or overall appearance
- Heavy filters, effects, or digital retouching that make a person appear significantly different from their actual appearance
- Avatars, illustrations, or images that are not real photographs
Important: We recommend using only photos of yourself that are current and natural. Minor adjustments such as lighting or cropping are acceptable; however, AI modifications that significantly alter your appearance are not permitted.
To protect the safety of our members and support authentic profiles, only genuine, current photos without AI modifications are accepted.
