What should I pay attention to when selecting photos for my profile?
Whether it’s a shot from your vacation, a photo taken at an elegant event, or an image that reflects your hobbies, you decide which photos to express yourself with. However, it’s important to use current, clear photos on your profile that introduce you easily.
Instead of photos where your face is in shadow or partly covered by sunglasses or similar accessories, choose photos where your face is clearly visible.
Profile Photo
Your profile photo creates the first visual impression other members will have of you. For this reason, we recommend uploading a current portrait photo in which your face is clearly visible as your first photo.
- Make sure your face is clearly visible.
- A natural, warm smile leaves a positive impression.
- Choose well-lit, sharp photos.
- Choose the photos that represent you most accurately.
A well-chosen profile photo helps make your profile more eye-catching and increases your chances of getting in touch with other members.
When making your selection, please keep in mind that we cannot approve photos with the following content:
- Photos that include children
- Blurry or low-quality photos, or photos in which the person cannot be clearly made out
- Photos containing sexuality, excessive nudity or inappropriate content
- Images that violate the copyright or intellectual property rights of third parties (cartoon characters, photos of celebrities, etc.)
- Photos containing insults, degradation, threats or violence
- Photos with a commercial purpose or that are advertising in nature
- Photos containing a first or last name, phone number, email address, social media account or similar personal information
- Photos created with artificial intelligence, edited with AI tools, or with filters, effects or digital retouching applied that make the person look different from reality
- Group photos in which other people are clearly visible
- Photos that are not current or do not accurately reflect you
After you register with eÇift, you can upload 12 photos to your profile.
To upload a photo, click the “Add Photo” option on the right side of the home page.
You can use your device’s camera to take a new photo or choose an existing photo from your gallery. You can edit the photo you’ve selected in the “Edit Your Photo” section, and confirm it by clicking the “Save” button in the bottom right corner when you’re done.
The photos you upload must be your own, in .jpg or .png format, and no larger than 11 MB.
All uploaded photos are reviewed by eÇift Customer Service and approved within 36 hours at the latest. You will be notified by email when your photos are approved.
The first photo you upload is set as your profile photo. You can change your profile photo at any time or choose one of your other uploaded photos as your profile photo.
A free photo scanning service is offered especially to Premium members who do not have photos in digital form.
